Unfortunately it has some bugs in it. The biggest of which for me is that it crashes every time I attempt to add an image to a post. However the iPhone app doesn’t. So usually what happens is I’ll type out a post on my iPad, save it on the server as a draft, and then open it on my phone to insert the image. Can we say pain in the ass? Never the less I still absolutely love my iPad! I really love the wallpaper I have for it (same as my phone). I only wish I could remember where I found it at. Oh well maybe one day I’ll remember.

So far the project with the hinges is progressing. Once we get a system going it will be faster (I hope). Billy bought me a present at Home Depot today, a door stop! I know what you’re thinking but I really did want it. It’s one of the magnetic ones that holds the door open. Now the cats can’t close the door in the bathroom.

We got our hair done this afternoon. Nothing special just a cut and style, but it’s always nice to see John. The other girl was there doing some girls hair and they were having the most awkward and hilarious conversation the entire time. They were making fun of all their old friends from high school and how fucked up they’ve all become. The best part though was when the stylist asked the other girl “Do you remember when I was pregnant in high school and got that abortion?” Such an odd topic to bring up in mixed company.

Anyway our day has been fairly tame today so I don’t have much to report. Billy is playing Grand Theft Auto while the paint on the hinges dries and I took this opportunity to do a short update. See you guys later!

I’m still currently sick, which sucks. I do feel somewhat better though. Like most colds it just takes a little OTC medicine (maybe a good does of pseudo-ephedrine in there too) and just a few days of waiting. Even though I have been sick, I went out last night with Billy, Andy, and Joey to Blake’s. It was a lot of fun and there were q good amount of people there. I’m glad I went, plus if I hadn’t I wouldn’t have ended up with this really cool picture. There wasn’t any editing done, the red filtered lights at the bar and the front facing iPhone 4 camera (i’m sure the low light along with the fact that its VGA played a big part in it). Never the less I think it came out pretty cool!

I’ve spent the better part of the last two days (or so) going back through all my old blog posts cleaning up. I didn’t delete them or anything, but a lot of them had broken links or pictures. I was able to fix most of the pictures, and the ones I couldn’t I removed the image tags out so it wouldn’t display a broken link. I had great hopes of being able to find all the appropriate pictures but alas some are just gone into oblivion. It’s one of the unfortunate consequences of changing web hosts, that and my unwillingness to embrace WordPress’ own gallery function. I’ve since come to terms that using plugins for other types of galleries is just a botch job that never works fluidly. I haven’t decided if I want to change the way I have my photography gallery or not yet though. I still have it hosted through Picasa. I do however like how the built in gallery plays nice with lightbox and it just works for imbedding into posts.

Oh, I’m really big into Last.fm (my profile) so add me as a friend on there please! If you’ve never tried it it’s similar to Pandora only better. It gathers data on the music you listen to in iTunes, on your iPod/iPhone/iPad and makes suggestions for music you would like based on what you listen to. Give it a try!

I was lucky enough earlier this week to come across someone on an online forum that had a question about their Nissan Altima Coupe. They had a new 2010 model fully loaded with black interior and silver trim. They wanted to know if all the black trim pieces that show up on ebay from wrecked 2008+ models would work or not (which they will) and I told him so. So he sold me some of his silver trim pieces (that I like better) for $25. New it would have cost me over $130; SCORE! I bring this up because FedEx just showed up a little bit ago with my package!

Ok I better bug out, the more I talk the less you’ll read =)

I use to have this wonderful plugin for wordpress; actually I still have it but it no longer works. It’s called “Facebook Comments” and its sole purpose is to poll facebook for comments on any of my “notes” and pull them along with the Author’s name and date and add them into the matching posts in wordpress. Since Facebook automatically pulls my blog via its own RSS-feed it use to be seamless; well it had a delay between everything catching up with each other, but within 24 hours everything lined up. I was happy with the small delay, it wasn’t a big deal. As long as everything got put in its correct place I was happy.

Unfortunately I believe the developer has given up on updating the plugin to work with Facebook’s ever-changing API, and WordPress’ constant updates. For the longest time it just worked and I was thankful it did everything I wanted, but now its broken. =(

So I’m sending out a cry for help to the world, both of WordPress and Facebook. Does anyone know of a similar plugin, or hell even a way to replicate what use to be great? I know it seems stupid, but people actually do read and comment on my blog via the “notes” that show up in facebook and the news feeds; but most people that actually travel to my blog may read it, but usually don’t leave comments. At the risk of looking like a complete loser I’d like to have my blog reflect that sharing my life isn’t an utter waste. While I do believe most things I ramble about only pertain to my interests its nice when others add their $.02 and I’d like to reflect it! So please, if you or someone else knows a way to do what I want please let me know!

August 8th – August ? I honestly don’t know when we are coming home yet; I just know we finally decided that we are leaving on the eighth. Look out redneck riveria, here we come!

I expected that train of thought to go further than that, guess I was mistaken. I honestly haven’t meant to be so distant from my blog. I’ve sat infront of marsedit several times, I see the blogpress icon on my phone all the time. Hell even my homepage in firefox is my blog URL! It’s just everytime I’ve tried to sit down and write my mind goes blank. The best thoughts come in the bathtub, and I’m just too afraid of my phone going for a swim to risk it.

It isn’t just the blog I’ve been distant from, I’ve neglected people in general lately too. Not so much on purpose, but there is just a lot of things going on at home lately. It seems as though the few free moments I have are when people want to plan something and the future is so sketchy I just can’t plan. I hate looking like all the flakes I hate but I seriously have other shit to do. Just because I’m not doing anything at the moment doesn’t mean I want to get up, shower, shave, drive across the city to meetup for an hour.

Ugh I’m so tired of trying to make new friends too. People just don’t get it, just because I’ll chat with you for five minutes online doesn’t mean I want to meet you in person. And what part of “I have a boyfriend” makes anyone think sexual banter is an appropriate greeting, much less a conversation starter. “Other Person: Whatsup?” “Me: Driving to my friends house” “Other Person: Ooh are y’all gonna fuck?” WTF is that? Why would someone even go there? The same person messaged me online two days later asking what I was doing, I replied “laying in bed” and they come back with “naked?” no fucker I’m not naked, I don’t sleep naked, and I don’t see why it’s any of your concern! People suck. Why is it so hard to make friends with people based on common interest? The few people that are my friends can certainly attest that “sex” is not on my list of common interests.

This seems to be going more and more downhill the more I type… Let’s see if I can come up with something positive that’s happened recently (besides this future run to Florida).

Oh! My new mirrors came the other day. Paint came out fantastic too! I installed them on the car, and Billy did the wiring. Everything works except the heating elements, but it was getting late that night and we kept blowing the fuse so we decided to come back and attack that after some rest. Hooray for small victories right? Here I’ll attach a picture. I know everyone has been hearing me bitch about UPS being so slow at delivering them.

You will have to excuse my car (especially the wheels) for being dirty, it’s rained everyday here lately. The car came with plain power mirrors, and the heated/folding/signal mirrors were part of a $6000 option package I didn’t want. I paid $300 for these from the dealer, plus paint. Not a bad savings if I do say so myself *toots horn*.

I also appologize for the image quality and the formatting of them in the post, the whole thing was done from my phone. I’ll fix the markup when I’m infront of my laptop.

I think I’ve taken up enough of your time with my blabbering; more to follow later.

So I deleted several people off of my friends list on myspace, and a lot more on facebook. Nothing personal or anything, mainly people that added me, and have never messaged me or anything at all. I don’t really have friends online that aren’t friends in person. So I don’t feel as though “friends lists” should be any different. Plus if they’ve never bothered to message me, they aren’t going to notice I’m missing. I was probably just another number on their way to a million friends or something. And If you’re reading this and were deleted, just add me back and say something!

On a related side note, there were two people (one myspace and one facebook) that got deleted purely for one reason. They post an excessive amount of useless and pointless bulletins. The facebook person being one who posts propaganda for every cause in the world, and I’m sorry I can only read about them saving the world so much before I start to hate seeing their posts. The myspace person just really pissed me off last weekend especially because they posted the same bulletin with different titles over and over again every five minutes boasting some party that night; and that was purely ridiculous.

Anyway I’ll stop ranting, just wanted to let everyone know what was “up”.

I wonder how many people actually read my blog. I’m sure wordpress keeps statistics somewhere that I could look and see, but that sounds like too much work and brain power for this early in the morning. I bet it isn’t very many, just the seldom few. Not that I could blame them with as sparse as my blogging really is. I really don’t think that last sentence was grammatically correct, but thats they way I said it in my head. Thank you, I guess, to my few faithful readers for caring enough to read my randomness. Hell I can’t even think of anyone’s blog that I really read… Guess that should say something right there.

I just got a myspace friends request from someone that I’m pretty sure I am already friends with… Speaking of, I have several people “in queue” for requests. I generally leave them for a week or two if its someone I don’t know, and If they don’t message or contact me in anyway I’ll just decline. Sorry but yea I don’t know you, so you aren’t my friend. Sometimes I just don’t want to be their friend anyway. I’m notorious for deleting people off my friends list because they bulletin too much. Especially those that put up six bulletins a day wanting comments on their new default picture. Vanity and ego boosting, *tisk tisk*. Meh It’s time for bed again.

I’ve been wanting to try the iphone wordpress app and I have to say it’s simple, easy to use and actually quite nice. Granted I don’t know how realistic it is to try and blog from a touch screen phone, but the ability to do so is quite nice to have. Lookout for more mobile blogging coming your way!

Threw up a new theme, thought I’d try something new. Plus the server/hosting problems have finally been fixed. Well at least for the moment that is. Billy fought with them about the redirecting alias thing that it kept doing. It wasn’t just my site either, it was all of his too. So I hope everyone enjoyed his site since thats all you could get to. I’ve been really busy lately, over worked at work and at home. Billy is moving, so I’ve been helping him clean the house and pack. We had our first showing today, dunno how it actually went though. At work, we’ve been short a person all week, plus we’ve just been working 10 and 12 hour days. There just aren’t enough hours left over for sleep. Well, I actually need to run to the grocery store to get some dinner, I’ll update some more later.
